I wish I had taken a picture of the yellow maggot,
but I didn't. Just wanted to alert everyone that there is another
pest for these plants. It measured one sixteenth of an inch, and
appears rather translucent, and resides at the base of the
plant, inside the leaves, just above the crown.

I noticed the base of the leaves turning a rusty color. This
color continued through the rest of the leaves toward the center,
where the worm was eating its way through. As the outside leaves turned
brown, they did not fold away from the plant as usual, but stayed
quite snug against the fan. Had not seen that characteristic before.

Looked at everything I could find on the internet, but saw nothing
that looked like it, or was the same size. Removed two of them,
and sprayed with Seven. The plant is okay now, I hope.

This plant is in a pot, in a protected area.
