I'm a bit superstitious or maybe just a slave to routine but I go through the same steps time after time and the results have been excellent. I put a piece of coconut tree webbing in the bottom of my pot to keep the dirt in ,fill the pot to the top loosely with the soil mix ,press the plummie stick in about a third the way in. Press the dirt down around the pot edge firming the stick up a bit and it leaves a couple of inches to put river pebbles around the top to hold the plumeria still so not to tear the new root growth.
Funny thing though these plumerias, I have a few sticks that broke and fell behind a royal palm and they rooted right there on top on the ground....go figure! Hilarious!

RobertB Thumbs up
