Actually, that decorative little guy is made from polymer clay, with powdered "pearl" pigment dusted on him before baking & glazing. You can do a technique with polymer clay that's very much like the millifiori (sp?) glass canes... cut slices from the cane and get gorgeous swirls or intricate patterns. Needless to say, Joyanna and I have some of those shiny pigment powders in our polymer clay box now.
