That's pretty much what I did Dave except I had already removed all the soil and was storing them dry so I took more drastic steps. This year I'll do something similar to what you describe. Woofie, I commented on what I did on the Tropicanna entry, if I hadn't removed the soil it would have been much less work. Canna Tropicanna®

That sounds good. Any additional information can be added as comment?

Edit: Woofie, one thing I noticed was the Canna didn't seem to be much affected by our first frost like the Calla, Colocasia and Xanthosoma were. I cut at dug them with everything else though.
