Jan: Thanks for those links. I'm not sure the buckeye is correct, but it's close. The Anisota senatoria looks very much like it, but does that morph into a butterfly or moth? Didn't see anything showing its final stage. I've marked Jeff's North Carolina Butterflies under my favorites!
