Sandy: Oh my goodness, how in the world did I miss this when it published last year???!! Thank you so much for your wonderful article and photographs of Washington Oaks State Park & Gardens! I just stumbled upon it when I went to upload a photo to the database entry for Scrub Palmetto ... and what a nice surprise to find this!
Washington Oaks is only about 35 miles north of me and I haven't visited in years, but after reading your article I certainly want to make the trip up there! Every time we drive up A1A along the coast to St. Augustine we pass by the entrance and I keep telling myself I really need to stop in for a few hours ... and every time I see their plant sales advertised in the newspaper I keep saying I really need to go.
I'm going to put it on my DEFINITE to do list for as soon as the weather cools down some!
