I want to think that the Scorch was just part of our crazy weather we had this year, I have never seen it or anything like it before and hoping to never see it again. I would be surprised if you had something that had it and it lived through the winter what I had with it after a month there was no saving them they were gone, it has a real specific look to it and always the middle leaf is brown which gives it away that you have a problem and with scorch you will not need to dig it out just a light tug and the whole clump will come out of the ground. I'm sure your weather has been hot and dry like ours this year and it is really hard to get them to take when its over 100 degrees for multiple weeks I had sprinklers running for 3 hours a day to keep everything moist in July the extreme heat really seams to stunt the new growth in them.
