I was going to wait until next spring as it's too late this year to dig down as deep as the bud union is. I wasn't sure on the trimming.. thanks for letting me know that would have been a BAD idea. I've got any number of Dr. Huey suckers all over the place & I just trim them, but they still keep coming back. And I knew better than to use any kind of RoundUp or anything like that.. that would have killed the entire plant. Grrr!! Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling
