it had previously been in a smaller plastic pot that the bottom was still attached to the bottom of the caudex with the roots grown through. They just had knocked the sides off the old pot and repotted the whole thing in the gallon pot and of course the roots had to be cut to get the plastic off so what was suppose to be an easy repot turned into an ordeal...
