A little of everything -- except have found metal just gets too hot.

plastic, pottery, terra cotta, fiberglass and whatever else comes to hand and looks OK. Oh and I have hypertufa too.

Although some say the porcelain tend to crack and break down after a few years, their beauty makes it worth it.

If I get 5 - 7 years out of a pretty pot that is OK.
