Just out of college, I named my sister's car once. She and a friend took a trip to Mackinaw (sp?) Island because it was the setting for a favorite movie - "Somewhere in Time".
I put a sign on her little red Toyota Tercel's grill that said "The
Snazz Car". One went inside the left door: The
Snazz Door. Open the passenger door and it's "The Other
Snazz Door". Then there was the flip down
Snazz Visor (and "The Other
Snazz Visor"), the
Snazz Compartment [glove compartment] and when they got gas... you guessed it: The
Snazz Gas Door. When they reached their destination and opened the boot to retrieved their luggage, a sign dropped down that said:
Snazz Trunk.
When they returned, they presented my with a T-shirt, hand painted with their car on it and the moniker.
Naming can be great fun!
