Polly.....there are several of us who love medians and interestingly most are men. We enjoy a friendly competition. We have an informal show late in April at our evening meeting. I had best specimen with IB Spiced Peaches. In early-mid May we have what is usually a mostly median show, and then in later May we have our 3rd show which we call the "big show" as it is usually mostly TBs. Both are AIS approved. This year was an early season and I won the Silver Medal at the median show. Two years before I didn't have any in bloom....a late season. This year I planted some in open beds and some in a warmer bed south of the house hoping to extend the season. Tomorrow I'm going to look at a camper shell for my Pick-up which will make it easier to get flowers to the show.
