A while back I 'liberated' a branch from a plumeria that is growing in front of an empty house and next to a pharmacy parking lot. It was on the ground, kind of snaking away from the tree. I pulled it off and brought it home because it has the most wonderful scent, whenever I park there to go to the pharmacy I can smell it. It's one of the yellow flowered ones, no idea what it is.

Anyway, it's been stuck in a pot of dirt on the roof for at least a month and I noticed today that it is not only sprouting leaves but what looks like a bud. I'm hoping it will bloom this winter. We've had a lot of rain this past week, several inches every evening, so I'm glad it didn't rot.

I've also got a bud forming on the native white and yellow plumeria.
