Thanks for the update and I'm glad they are in the soil already!
Actually, some of the longer pieces could be cut apart. Cuttings
only need to be about 8-10" long. When they root, new leaves
would grow from every joint and the plant would be fuller. As
they are now, I would probably use a center stake to control the
stems in a more upright manner if they stay that long. The arching
branches fill with leaves as it builds roots and it will develop a
larger, stronger stem at the soil line.
As cuttings, they may drop all the leaves now, but they will return.
Every place that I clipped your cuttings will get more dense on
my plant. I have to cut it back every year and it's still huge.
