I've grown this plant for several years and seemed to
notice the tiny blooms on a spike before it produced the
long growth where the new plants form. I never paid any
attention to them and usually broke them off immediately.
Maybe, I should not have done that.
I usually start a new hanging basket about this time with
three plants in it, winter it in the garden room and just
discard the large plant. I've shared them with many friends.
