Carolyn: Congratulations on getting Hoya curtisii to grow well and bloom! I've heard conflicting stories regarding the conditions this Hoya prefers, and recently an extremely knowledgeable person told me my problem was probably letting it go completely dry ... apparently this is one Hoya that prefers moist conditions.
