Spring - I was wondering what that plant was also. It is so striking and really catches your eye. The leaves are so different from the typical dahlias, though most dahlias that I grow these days are the taller ones.

I like rudbeckias - though the only one that thrives for me is the black eye susan types - I have managed to kill the larger flower, orangy, bronzy ones. I am hoping to grow some of the rudbeckia hirta varieties like cappuccino, Cherokee sunset, and prairie sun. If I am lucky, I will have photos to post in about 8-9 months. Big Grin

Patty - if you have any photos of the ones that you have, I would like to see them too.
