We've got a cold front that's almost finished moving through .. it's 52 degrees outside with wind gusts up to 30mph! Tonight we'll have our first hard freeze (we normally get them in late November) .. hopefully it will knock down the hardy gingers so I can divide them. Up until 4 days ago some were still blooming!

Outside the Summer Snowflakes, Leucojum aestivum are blooming a month early .. I really didn't think I'd have any blooms this year because they were divided and replanted in mid October, so they are a real treat!

Inside the greenhouse my Tropical Hibiscus Love Story greeted me with a Winter Solstice present along with the Orange Ice Geranium and NOID Christmas Cactus. My NOID Kalanchoe is about to burst into bloom as well.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
