Some favorite tools have come to my home in this manner. A sharp narrow bladed shovel, a turning fork, a kneeling/sitting bench and a garden wagon are a few that come to mind. The price was right and I find them to be valuable treasures.
Bad thing is... too much other stuff keeps following me home. lol
