I've been checking daily on a 'rescue' witch hazel I dug out of my sister's yard (horribly pruned and misshapen) a few years ago. It has lots of little 3-pronged buds and a couple leaves are just starting to unfurl at the tips, so hoping I'll get some flowers soon - anxious to see what color it is. Last year was its first winter in my yard and it was still recovering from the move and whatever other trauma it saw (no offense to sis, she's just not a gardener), and didn't bloom at all.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
