Speaking of micro climates, though, I have an area on the south side of the house that gets very hot, doesn't seem to ice up the way the rest of the property will, but also has some water run off (very shallow incline & the rain tends to wash southwest over the property). I have hopes of growing a small olive grove there, but I have been told that I'm dreaming, since I live in the southern tip of Texoma (Trenton). I'm all ears!

Does anyone have experience finding and working unique areas on their property?
