I agree with you Connie about planting them in the ground. And they do like more moisture than some of the other sedum, and possible a little filtered shade the hottest part of the day?
Your photos are great, showing some healthy colonies of Ogon.

I have failed with Ogon every time I've tried it. I think I will try planting some on the north side of my house, see if it likes it there.
I have had good luck with S. makinoi Limelight, seems to be much tougher than Ogon.
