MS will work. Two part mold would be better, inner and outer. The wood texture could be worked on the MS which would be the outer. The inner could be made of tin. Not much wear and tear should last a life time. Huum, would be expensive now lets see. Do they still teach woodwork in seventh grade 
must be. Mold out of packing wood sounds better and cheaper. Ingenuity required and an aptitude, now where to find that . Chicken coop wire molded in die then concrete poured in. Ahhh! To difficult a concept to explain. Forget it lets go back to nice and comfy bed. Sounds even better
