Hi Purple and Chris, I'm joining the conversation late but wanted to say what a nice table-box! I love that its on legs too! Its very unique!
One thing that's important is to reinforce the sides (I can't tell if they are or not from your photo)
I recently made a mini vertical wall of wood, and within a month one side came loose -
(I know, I live in Seattle and I put it outside in winter - so very wet, but still it didn't take long at all to begin to deteriorate, I was very surprised )
You can buy those right angle metal things with a screw in each side, that goes inside each corner, or 2 in each corner
The other thing is the liner idea. Would it be to keep the wood from getting wet? Would it have holes in the bottom for drainage?
Just wondering, since if it was something that didn't breath it could incite mold. And if you're growing succulents, as you know, it would need good drainage!
(can you tell I've been thinking about these issues with some of my own projects) Hilarious!
Have fun mini gardening, and I agree with Chris, I love photos along the way! I tip my hat to you.
