Understanding Orchids: An Uncomplicated Guide to Growing the World's Most Exotic Plants by William Cullina. I first heard of this book from the owners of J & L orchids at their open house last year. They mentioned the extensive discussion of options for media with great explanations of choices that they said has rarely been covered in other books. This is the book that began my quest for a Reverse Osmosis watering system. I read the recommendations for water quality including allowable salts level, checked the work up done on our well water when we moved here, and saw clearly why my orchids were struggling (high salt levels). This was the first book where I found those levels stated. Amazon has 20 reviews.
