Miniature Orchids by Steven A. Frowine. My favorite book to look at before bedtime (and light weight despite the 264 pages). I always hope to dream about the photos in the book! I highly recommend this book to those of us who worry about running out of room!! The minis are a whole wonderful world and this is a great place to start. I especially like the Indices on page 217 with listings of Miniatures, Dwarfs and Compact orchids, the Ease of Culture listing on page 223 (organized by Easy, Intermediate, and a handful of Challenging orchids), the list of Light Requirements on page 229 (Low, Low to medium, Medium, Medium to high, and High), the listings of Temperature Preferences on Page 235 (Cool, Cool to intermediate, Intermediate, Intermediate to warm, and Warm), the listing of Seasons of Bloom on page 241 (Spring, Spring to summer, Summer, Summer to fall, Fall, Fall to winter, Winter to spring, Variable), listing for Fragrant Orchids on page 247, and the Sources for Miniature Orchids on page 250 (with nurseries with personal reviews of what is offered and lots of contact info). And then there are the photos. Love it!
