I have started this penstemon from seed twice and it is not difficult. Pre-chill then I sprinkled on moist seed starting mix in a saved fruit, clear, clamshell container. Set in a tray and bottom water every other day or so. I have also purchased from Bluestone Perennials. I move a lot, hence the need for new.
