Speaking of sedum growing out of stone, how about out of or rather over in order to hide a stump & i think it will look cool when it fills in.I hope it fills in!!!
Any opinions ??? here's some pictures of my ugly stump right now.I planted it last summer with a 'stringy stonecrop' Sedum sarmentosum.I lost all my pictures from before about last sept.,they are in a computer that i can't even get to come on.
This winter it all died back & now it does seem to be coming back.
Any opinions or advice on fertilizer, when & how much to help the sedum made a good, healthy & thick come back is greatly appreciated
The last 2 pictures are close-ups of what the Sedum looks like now.It is coming back & i'm hoping when it warms up it will take off & cover the stump with no problem. We have had so much rain since Dec.it washed most of the soil & compost i had buried the stump in.I'm hoping if it takes hold around the sides it should just grow over the top grabbing hold where it can correct??
Here's a picture of the top of the stump, the Sedum is orange.
If you look in some pictures you can see old stems where it died back among the new growth.
When i was given this plant is was in 2 of the long green planters, you can see one in the 1st. picture i believe & it had grown over the sides down to the ground, across the ground & attached itself it sand.So i know it runs,i have no idea what to feed it though.
Back in Jan. I asked about whether it was dying.I'm glad it wasn't.Should i have posted this on a new thread for others to benefit from it or ok here not being that much information besides feeding Stringy stonecrop Sedum,& maybe some growth habits.
