Sorry I've been absent so long, friends. I was diagnosed with cancer back in September and have had a bit more on my plate than usual. Three surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation later, I am finally back home in the beautiful PNW just in time for spring.
Despite my total lack of care for things growing outside this winter, The only casualties I noticed among the succulent and semps were two plants that managed to get in a spot where they stayed completely dry for 5 months...a I think one of them might pull through in the end. The semps I had planted from seed are still going. They didn't grow much over the fall/winter, but I think they were only watered 4-5 times. They're small but look very healthy. The end result of the planting by seed experiment netted about a dozen or so plants from an original planting of about 300 seeds. Despite the low germination rate, it was fun, and I'm excited to see how these babies grow up.
Assuming my health improves enough over the next month, my wife and I are planning on attending the breeding workshop at the end of April. Looking forward to meeting a few of you fine folks there!
I'll be posting photos of my semp seedlings soon. Smiling
