Yes any hospital emergency room has to treat you even if you aren't insured.
Talk to you doctor's staff.
Tell them you don't have insurance, to make
your appointment as short as possible and can you make payment
arrangement.
We have insurance but since my husband is retired its changed to
we have to pay out of pocket for regular office visits.
So far we've had 3 different doctors plus our dentist allow us to make
payments. If your doc won't allow this, find one who does.
If you are low income there should also be medical & dental clinics
in your area where the fees are very low.
Most run on a first come first served basis.
Sometimes have to wait a long time but its affordable.
Please look into a "I've fallen and I can't get back up" service.
I don't know how cold it gets by you but exposure and hypothermia could do
you in. I'm glad you had an angel come rescue you!
