I feel for you. I lived in Maine for 10 years and boy was that a shock to me as a gardener! I lost so many roses there and compared to my gardens in the UK there were so many plants I couldn't grow. I always found March and April tough. My birthday is at the end of March and I was so used to seeing all the daffodils out around that time - not in Maine, nothing green whatsoever..

But then all of a sudden it's summer. Just hang in there!
