Thanks, all. I'll give the shamrock a whirl outside, since staying indoors is sure death for it. For some reason, I am horrible with indoor plants. I keep a peace lily in the bathroom (where I see it every day) as a water indicator plant but still fail to give them the attention needed to thrive. The only time my houseplants look good is during the summer when I put them out on the front porch and soak them regularly.
