These are wild weed here and mostly ignored by us and taken for granted. It was only due to ATP and photographs that while looking at them on a monitor that I realised that they were Salvias. One has been ID'd as Salvia sclarea - Scharlei . The other I am waiting for someone on this forum to ID. Lets see who ID's it.
Marilyn if you go through the following link, while we consider them as weeds you all love them and are quite gaa gaa over them. You know honey bees and hummingbirds seem to love them. Now I am thinking of collecting a few seeds. The ID'd one I believe does not seed according to locals but the other one does and is also used in medicines.
