All along the east coast, for a stretch of over a 1,000 miles, it's the same story: SOAKED!

My rain guage is 'only' 12 inches high; I emptied it the day before yesterday and now it is overflowing.

The high winds and heavy rains have knocked off most of the rose blooms in the garden, but a few are still hanging on.
