I wonder about the effect that will have on elements of the infrastructure. Around here, we absolutely cannot handle even the regular seasonal downpours. Ditches, creeks, and rivers flood almost every year, roads have to be closed, and power blackouts are common when trees are uprooted and fall on the power lines. I can't imagine what would happen after a foot of rain.
