Hi-ya Sharon,

I haven't actually dug-in any Hugelkultur type beds; so far I've just been laying down wood and burying it. I'm doing mine kind of like how nature does it in a forest since I don't have any earth moving equipment other than my back and a shovel. Smiling So far, so good.

The tree removal process is going to take awhile. It's expensive! Plus, we really only have space enough to take down parts of a few, or one whole tree at a time.

In the meantime, I'm thinking about what to do with all that full sun. When it's over, I think I might be shopping for a bunch of climbing roses. Big Grin I think a nice magnolia or two is in our future as well.

How's your woodland garden coming along?
