Another suggestion is to go into the ATP Daylily database, pick "search by characteristics". Choose your desired ploidy, type in desired scape height - I did both 16 " and 18 " - scroll down to "bloom traits" and check "eye or band". Then go back to the top of the page and click "search". Both heights I used turned up a very nice selection of shorter, eyed cultivars.
