The weather has gone from the 80s to the 30s and these poor schrubs are having one heck of a time doing their thing this year. About the same time they were giving me their best year yet blooms, the weather went down to nearly freezing and there was a frost, but, these babies never gave up and here are two blooms, not perfect, a bit raggy around the edges because of the frost and very strong winds, but they are as much a survivor as I am and they were blooming and blowing around in gusts of 40 mph yesterday.

This is the Carolina Sweet Shrub and the name blew off in Sandy so I am not sure what it is. It is either Venus or Caroline- oh well.....it is very pretty no less.

This is Michael Lindsy......very sweet smelling and a darker bloom than the other.

I am so glad, all things considered, they are able to finish their growing cycle this year. They are doing so well i do not want anything to happen to them.
