I put about equal emphasis on flowers and caudex.I will turn down a plant that has exceptional flowers but a poor caudex.For me,a good caudex equals size and wierd/interesting shape.The arabicum on the right has a good caudex and nice flowers.The olefolium on the left has no caudex to speak of and almost no flowers.It would be toast except it's the only one of those I have.
