Lowes sells this plant as Haworthia 'Black Gem' but online search provides conflicting information about this plant. Some say that the tag should read: X Alworthia 'Black Gem'. It's an inter-generic hybrid of Haworthia cymbiformis and Aloe speciosa. When I bought this plant the biggest plant has 10 offsets packed tightly in a very tiny pot. The color is supposed to vary, from greenish brown to almost black summertime. This is sometimes called "Aloe Black Gem".
