When I began to collect roses the gallicas caught my eye because of all the stripes and speckles...they are sometimes called 'the mad gallicas' I didn't know then that they need more cold than is usually found in Texas...this year should be a good year for them as it has been colder than usual.

This is Cramoisi des Alpes.
a found gallica that used to be sold by ARE it does pretty well here.
