Actually, Alan, they *are* working on genetically modifying roses with DNA from, I think, petunias or something like that. It's an Australian company that's doing it.. let me see if I can find the website. Personally, I don't think they're very blue looking.. not as blue as, say, Blueberry Hill or Blue Bayou (AWESOME rose.. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that rose! Thank you Zuzu!!).

But they're just really pretty purple.

Also, there's some people on eBay who swear that they are selling truly "blue" roses! None of them are available right now, but I've seen them in the past.
