Toni if only it were that easy! When I say rocks, I mean rocks. We back up to a mini canyon and there is exposed granite and limestone throughout the yard. Where there is dirt, it's mixed with rocks of varying size. The whole yard...and takes forever to sift through and get out the decent soil. It's why there are so many raised beds here.
