I don't think it will take a Plano winter, but you should buy one and enjoy it through the summer. When it begins to get cold, dig it up if you've planted it in ground, or take the pot in and enjoy it indoors as a house plant. Next spring, you'll be able to tell the rest of us how to overwinter one! I just treat them as an annual because I usually over water the ones I've had. You could possibly try digging up the tuber and ....nay, just enjoy it and take a chance.
