Stush I am in the same position. I mentioned in the coleus forum that all my friends barely know that plants need water and that is not an exaggeration. I have one friend that has 10 fake flowers in her house. She has beautiful fake Spider plants and other green leafed silk plants in beautiful urns. Is there any wonder why she does not know that the cuttings she ask for from me die. I keep telling her she has to give them some water at some point. Rolling on the floor laughing

She has a landscape service that planned, planted and up keep her gardens, grass and trees. A sprinkler system on a timer. So she does not water outside. My other friends are no better. But they also come to my house and fall in love with one of my plants and ask for cuttings which end up dead.

Even though I was raised with a Mom that loved plants and had a garden I was so excited to find GardenWeb and learn about all the different plants out there that I could buy and kill until I learned how to care for the new plants.
