I love that pond with the lizards basking in the middle. Makes the wood around it look like a boardwalk.

Lotus do seem to need a lot of light to thrive, though full day sun isn't needed here. I haven't removed either of my current lotus from the water or their current locations for three years, and the tubers spend the winter under the ice. I don't know if the winter dormancy and cold plays a part in keeping it happy.
