I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Garden Ideas: Level 1
It's easy to see why the old daylily became popular when you see all the plantings in the area here on July 4th! This tiny cottage up the hill from a bay has a massive planting on either side of their drive. Might be 40 ft long. Just had to stop and take a photo from the car yesterday.

And so my daylily season begins. About 20 varieties blooming out there this morning. Can't wait to visit on this yet another hot humid day. I am doing NOTHING (she says, HA!) in the garden. Well, might take a few pics! I count this day as 'all the estates had better be ready'. My garden on the other hand is way behind on what it needs - the cobbler's shoes and all that! It has been a rough spring/summer with all the cold rainy wet days and last week we started with humid scorchers.
