Have you tried Hesperothamnus as the genus, and brandegee as the species, or perhaps as the species AND as the cultivar:??
I see entries for other species inside the genus Hesperothamnus.
Also, what error message do you get? Is it an automated response, or was the proposal accepted into the moderation queue, and later rejected by a moderator?
