As gardengus said ... at the bottom right of each post you will see icons (star, acorn, and green thumb); click on the green thumb and it will turn gray/black showing that you've given a thumbs up.
Also, at the very bottom of each page there's an entire row of cute little icons to use in your posts. Included is a thumbs up
