In the back, so very very very few roses are blooming. Only in my "pond area" are any of them really blossoming right now (last week it was the west side of the house, but I couldn't find my camera!!). So I got a few pictures of that area. I'll be tearing down the pond here in about a month or so before it freezes.. I need to resettle the bottom pond anyways.
So here's the south side of the ponds. The big section is crane's bill. That thing grows like a weed! I planted 8 of them there and they took over that section like gangbusters!
I'm quite sure that this is Singin' the Blues. I got some T-signs that I need to write down the names of the roses quickly, but that means digging them up as the tags are usually buried down with the bud union. Gotta do that next weekend.
And, of course, Sterling Silver.
On the west side, I have some roses going, but most are spent.
Mr. Lincoln, however, is breathtaking.
Outta the Blue is right next to Mr. Lincoln and is suffering from blackspot. Only reason why is my husband turned on the water and didn't turn it off, so they got watered for about 3 hours one day. Oops.
Kordes Brilliance is spectacular... just a bit small. Here it is in the shade... my 25 year old silver maple shades that area in the hot afternoon and so it only gets about 4-5 hours of mid-morning/noon sun.
Pure Perfume sure is blindingly white. Just a bit low to the ground to suit me as I practically have to get on my knees to take a picture, let alone sniff it!
One last pic.. my honeysuckle. It's taking over.. it's a Triffid!! (
